“As the Wizard’s Edition pre-order numbers rise, additional Wizard’s Edition items will be unlocked when pre-established levels of pre-orders are reached,” Namco explained in a statement. Pre-orders will be accepted on Club Namco until August 31st, at which point the program will end.
The Ni no Kuni Wizard’s Edition was announced last month and currently includes a 300-page hardcover book called the Wizard’s Companion, a Drippy plush doll and exclusive downloadable content including the Golden Mite and Golden Drongo familiars. It will be available for $99.99 exclusively through Club Namco. Namco hasn’t revealed what kind of additional items might be added via Ninostarter, but it’s a safe bet that the company has something special planned for fans.
Ni no Kuni will be released exclusively for PlayStation 3 in North America on January 22, 2013. The game tells the story of Oliver, a young boy who wants to become a magician in order to bring his mother back from the dead. Ni no Kuni is developed by Level-5 and features art by famed animation company Studio Ghibli.
