OnLive Promises Universal Controller Support for Nexus 7

A seven-inch tablet might not seem like the most practical device to take advantage of OnLive's Universal Controller, but gaming fans will get it anyway, and soon.

While Google's Nexus 7 tablet doesn't yet support the Universal Controller - after all, it just started shipping last week - that situation will change "shortly," according to the folks at OnLive.

"We don't have support out for it yet, but we hope to shortly," the company told GottaBeMobile this week.
While that's certainly comforting to cloud gaming fans who happen to be cracking open shiny new Nexus 7 tablets this week, there's no real indication of what OnLive means when it says it hopes to support the device shortly.
Meanwhile, the folks over at Android Community claim that the Universal Controller is already working with a few titles even ahead to OnLive's announcement of official support, so your mileage may vary.
Either way, it looks like cloud gamers won't have to be content banging their digits against the Nexus 7's Corning glass for too much longer.
